Find out more about some of our most popular activities below:

Gorge walking

Explore the rivers and waterfalls of the Brecon Beacons from a new perspective with this immersive and wild experience. This activity takes place in Pontneddfechan, home to world famous waterfalls, where you will crawl, climb and swim your way up the river to our plunge pools and jump points. On route, expect to find out a little about those who used the area for far more dangerous manufacturing activities in the past, and how this area was shaped by immense forces.
What to expect - whilst fun, gorge walking is one of our more physically challenging activities. You should expect to get wet, perhaps a little cold, and the activity sometimes results in a few bruises. Do not let this deter your excitement, you will be provided with thick wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets to keep you safe throughout!

Canoeing

A calm and gentle activity providing the opportunity to learn a few skills, explore the venue, and get wet through wild games if you wish! Canoeing takes place on local canals or Pontsticill Reservoir in the shadows of Pen Y Fan and Corn Du.
What to expect – whilst there is always the option to stay dry, we cannot promise you will not fall in! Whether you want a fun and exciting session or to simply relax as you journey through the countryside, we can offer you a great experience.

Climbing & abseiling

An exhilarating activity that takes place in the historic Morlais Quarry or on the sea cliffs of the Gower Peninsular. Both offer the chance to climb on real rock and boast impressive views of the Brecon Beacons and Welsh coastline. This activity is accessible for all abilities.
What to expect - climbing offers a physical challenge to participants, and a mental challenge to those who have less of a head for heights. These venues offer a range of challenges to meet most expectations. In the case of whole day bookings we can offer abseiling for an increased challenge. Venues are exposed to the elements and can be cold and windy at times. We recommend you wear trousers as you may take a few knocks and bumps during your climb.

Coasteering

Explore the rugged coastline of the Gower Peninsular in a way that takes you off the coast path and into the intertidal zone. A truly immersive and unforgettable experience as you hop, jump, climb and swim along the dramatic coastline.
What to expect – coasteering is our most physically demanding activity, and requires some stamina. Whilst fun, you will get wet, often cold, and may get a few knocks and scrapes from the rugged coastline. This should not deter your excitement, and you will be provided with thick wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets to protect you and keep you safe throughout.

Mountain or valley walks

A chance to explore the highest mountains in South Wales. Whilst we can’t always promise the amazing views, we can ensure a real sense of challenge in reaching the mountain top.
What to expect - it can be wet and cold, warm and sunny, or any other combination, and as the weather can change at short notice you should come prepared so you can enjoy the experience. We can offer a range of routes to suit all physicality's, from strolls up gentle paths to more extreme steeper and higher adventures.

Kayaking

This fun and engaging activity uses single person kayaks and offers a high chance of getting wet. Sessions provide the option to learn/develop skills, journey or play wet and wild games.
What to expect – you are almost guaranteed to get wet. You will be provided with thick wetsuits (in the winter) and buoyancy aids and helmets to keep you safe throughout. Kayaking can be frustrating for some, especially younger learners, as it can take time to master the basic sills required.

Bushcraft

Learn how to survive in the wild. Our engaging and practical bushcraft sessions include fire lighting, cooking, water filtration and shelter building (subject to location). You will be able to try different fire lighting techniques and cook damper bread too.
What to expect - this is a hands-on woodland activity and may result in a few small cuts and scrapes associated with the environment. You will certainly smell of smoke by the end of the session, and should obviously avoid contact with hot surfaces/fire to protect against burns.

Team building

Whether you want to develop teamwork and communication or want to just have a fun and engaging day, our activities can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.
What to expect – activities will be discussed with you in advance of the session. Activities can be large or small scale and can even involve the opportunity of getting wet with our alternative raft building activity. In summary, expect the unexpected and come prepared for a day in the outdoors!

Risk v's reward

All our activities have the ability to provide a rush of excitement by allowing participants to try new experiences in adventurous places.
Whilst highly enjoyable, it must be accepted that adventurous activities are inherently hazardous and cannot be completely risk free however hard we try. This is especially the case for activities provided in outdoor environments, where trips, falls, bumps, grazes, stings and bites, and the resulting outcomes, are commonplace and can be caused without the fault of the company. The company will take reasonable steps to protect you, and our guidance starts with the information provided in advance in our information packs and by the instructor on the day. You are asked to listen carefully to instructions and not to participate recklessly/in any way other than directed by our instructors. Participants are asked to acknowledge the risks at the time of booking and should discuss any concerns with us before participation.
In summary, we all take risks every day and our activities are no different. We hope you, like many before you, will accept the challenge and join us to enjoy the obvious rewards of our Adventures.
