Insurance, HSE Licenses, VAT and Tour Operator Protection

HSE Licencing for Adventurous Activities:

Fair Ways Outdoor Adventures hold an AALA licence allowing them to offer Adventurous Activities to under 18s.

Insurance:

We have £10,000,000 liability insurance covering the activities we provide and is provided by the specialist outdoor activity insurer AIM (Activity Industry Mutual).

VAT:

FairWays Care Wales Operations Ltd is VAT registered (No. GB416749083).

Standard rate VAT is charged on some products and is reclaimable by VAT registered organisations.

In line with European Law, some of our overnight products are accounted for under the TOMs VAT accounting method (Tour Operators Margin Scheme). TOMs products will appear not to have Vat applied to them and as a result, no VAT is reclaimable.

In all cases, the total price of the product and any applicable and reclaimable VAT is clearly detailed in your client information pack and on any invoices.

Compliance with the Package Travel Regulations:

If you book a trip with us that contains Accommodation and Activities which is provided for one fixed fee (package) then your product may be protected by the 1992 Package Travel Regulations.  If your product benefits from this protection this will be clearly detailed in your Client information pack at the time of booking.

Fair Ways Care Wales Operations Ltd operate a Client Account into which payments are paid in order to protect against the failure of the seller of their holiday or any subsequent suppliers. In the event of a failure, the customer will receive the holiday they purchased or a full refund of their money.
